The tests performed in Atmosfär chambers are cyclic in nature and involve exposure to controlled and changing temperature and humidity conditions with intermittent spraying of the samples with a salt solution directly onto the test samples from a high-positioned spray bar.
Atmosfär chambers have been specifically designed for fully automated testing in accordance with the highly demanding test profiles of the world’s leading car manufacturers. The Atmosfär chamber is available in two sizes, 1300 l or 2600 l, and is equipped with accessories to meet the test standards of FORD, VOLVO, SCANIA and many others. Various temperature ranges are available, Lite from 20 °C or sub-zero from -20 °C/-4 °F or -40 °C/-40 °F.
Key features of these chambers are: ergonomically designed low threshold for easy filling and unloading of the chamber, pneumatically operated "Easy Open" lid, dry seal prevents technician's clothing from getting wet, large capacity separate saline solution tank, free choice of lid color, internal viewing window (if the chamber is not supplied with cooling option), cleaning of the chamber interior with compressed air before the chamber is opened, on/off temperature control function for intermittent salt fog applications, RJ45 communication port for connection to a local area network (LAN) for connection and remote control via a computer with optional Ascott SW (ACC121) and last but not least, the function of drying the ambient environment when opening/closing the lid during the test and exposing the samples to ambient conditions in the room.
