Mounting pads and adapters can be attached adhesively, with a screw or by welding, according to the possibilities of the device and the design of the sensor, suitable for its characteristics. Depending on their type and use, they are intended for both permanent and temporary placement of sensors. Magnetic pads and adapters are intended more for temporary and short-term sensors or for sensors that need to be moved. Drills for attachment directly into the casing/construction of the machine or device are intended for preparing the smallest necessary holes for direct attachment of the sensor using a thread. This option is intended exclusively for permanently located sensors. Epoxy adhesives allow easy assembly and disassembly of the sensor, but have limited temperature resistance. For applications where the data collection point is inaccessible, or approaching it would expose the technician to high temperatures or other risks, special extension rods are then intended for connection over a greater distance.
