Basic information

Pressure sensors for dynamic pressure measurement have several unique features: fast response time, in microseconds. Resonant frequency up to ≥500 kHz. Measures small pressure changes at high static pressure levels. Can operate in the temperature range -196 to + 399 ° C. Massive construction is able to withstand shocks and vibrations up to thousands of G. ICP® amplified output for "dirty" or underwater conditions can be moved using a long coaxial cable without loss of signal strength and without increasing noise. Strain sensors for dynamic force and strain measurement are massive and durable sensors. They are defined by high rigidity, making them suitable for repeated use, they are further defined by a wide dynamic range, fast rise time, wide usable frequency spectrum. The last of the three, load cells, define these features: low deviation and high accuracy, low profile, temperature and pressure compensation, A2LA accredited calibration, NIST portable calibration.

Product use

Piezoelectric pressure sensors are used for a variety of dynamic pressure measurements, such as compression, pulses, shock waves, cavitation, hydraulic and pneumatic pressure fluctuations, high-intensity sound, fluid noise detection, shock and air waves, ballistics, explosive component testing (e.g. detonators, detonators), studies of confined explosives, and other dynamic pressures from <0.0001 psi to >100,000 psi. Force and strain sensors are suitable for dynamic force and strain measurements. Typical measurements include dynamic and quasi-static forces during start-up, compression, impact, impulse, reaction, and strain. Short-term or quasi-static measurements are possible for a limited time, but are much more suitable for long-term measurements. For this reason, they are not suitable for weighing applications, where a load cell type of sensing is much more suitable. However, for dynamic force applications, they offer many advantages and unique characteristics.
