Miniature piezo-resistive pressure sensors from Endevco enable the measurement of static or dynamic pressure even in extreme conditions and cases. Over the decades of their development, they have become a standard for many areas, from automotive to weapons and space research and production. Thanks to the unique design of the microelectronic MEMS sensor implemented in a shaped membrane, these sensors are at the forefront in terms of linearity, sensitivity and frequency response. For the measurement of acoustic phenomena with high intensity, special pressure sensors, so-called high-intensity microphones, are designed. These are special piezoelectric acoustic sensors with very low pressure fluctuation, a large temperature range, designed for the detection of extreme acoustic phenomena. Basic information

The range includes many types covering the entire spectrum of measurable overpressures. The individual models are dominated by a high natural resonant frequency and high sensitivity ensuring a good signal-to-noise ratio. Models for measuring and capturing maximum values are a matter of course. We will also highlight features such as unrivaled linearity and insensitivity to vibrations. Many models have special designs and modifications of clamping and connection, or resistance to moisture or strong flashes. We also supply microphones for noise measurement in the range of 100 > 180 dB(A), at frequencies up to 10kHz.

Product use

Endevco piezoresistive pressure sensors are used in many applications. Let us list at least a small representative example: control and management of hydraulic systems, measurement of turbulent flows, automotive applications in the field of force transmission, noise or airbag behavior, applications in aviation and military (transmission of pressure waves of an explosion or jet engine), wind tunnels.
