AirEvent corrosive gas chambers

Air pollutants such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, hydrogen sulfide and chlorine are emitted by stationary combustion in industry, power plants, excessive traffic and agriculture. Natural accumulations such as volcanic eruptions are also responsible for the accumulation of harmful gases in the atmosphere. These gases thus significantly enhance the corrosive behavior of a wide range of materials, be they metals or building materials.

Basic information

In the AirEvent series of corrosive gas chambers, it is possible to test the durability of products against harmful gases such as sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, hydrogen sulfide and chlorine. Thanks to the accuracy of the device and the repeatability of the tests, it is possible to collect important information about the service life of products in relation to corrosion caused by the ambient air. AirEvent chambers deliver real results thanks to the precise dosing of harmful gases. The test sample can be observed during the test through the acrylic window in the chamber door. Testing in AirEvent devices is possible, for example, according to the following test standards: IEC 60068-2-60 and 60068-2-42 / 43, as well as ISO 21207 and others.

Product use

The test gases used are, for example, H2S, SO2, Ozone, CO2, Cl2 with N2 carrier gas, as well as NO2 with synthetic air as carrier gas and other gases, according to specific customer requirements. Up to four test gases can be dosed simultaneously, to achieve maximum test realism and maximum compliance with test standards. Gas pressure monitoring brings maximum safety to the entire device. If necessary, the device allows direct gas sampling. The chamber is also equipped with a device for air exchange inside the test space.
