Altitude simulation chambers - SkyEvent

During flight, aviation technology is exposed to extreme pressure and extreme climatic conditions, which have a significant impact on the functioning of individual components. Aviation, space and other sensitive products must be monitored and precisely measured for safety reasons. Weisstechnik SkyEvent altitude simulation test chambers allow testing not only of aviation components in an environment with regulated parameters of pressure, temperature and humidity.

Basic information

The chambers can simulate altitudes up to approximately 30 thousand meters. If necessary, combined Cat B icing tests can be performed in accordance with RTCA DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 standards. Such chamber parameters will be used, for example, by manufacturers of aircraft components and aeronautics. Most jet aircraft today fly up to altitudes of approximately 12 thousand meters above sea level. SkyEvent chambers allow not only to simulate the altitude range from 0 meters to 30 thousand meters above sea level, but also to precisely regulate the required temperature.

Product use

The environmentally friendly refrigerant R449A is used in all SkyEvent test chambers. The GWP value is only 1397. This ensures the safe use of our SkyEvent chambers in the European Union even after 2020. Swivel castors and height-adjustable feet make it easy to integrate the chamber into individual users' operations. Inspection and possible control of samples during the test is very easy. Thanks to the glass door with lighting, you can check the samples whenever required. Connection and control of the tested samples during the test are enabled by stainless steel grommets with a diameter of 50 or 100 mm in the chamber wall.
