Basic information
The device acts like a magnet, an air barrier, attracting particles that escape in the area of the manipulated sample. The device directs such particles directly into the exhaust. Even particles that occur in the working area due to the operator's access are captured by the clean air barrier and directed into the front exhaust. The manipulated product and the operator thus remain completely free of contamination. While the production area is filled with clean air filtered by HEPA filters, the air barrier prevents turbulence caused by the operator's movements. When developing all WIBObarrier® devices, emphasis was placed on compliance with the DIN EN ISO 14644-1 standard. WIBObarrier® systems are available as closed systems (CCS - closed containment system) and as open systems (OCS - open containment system). Optimal protection of products and operators is ensured thanks to the 3-zone principle, stable barriers in the form of clean air, extraction of airborne particles, protection against turbulence.
