VR 10500

The family-owned Vibration Research company is the world's benchmark in vibration control and management. This pioneering company is founded on listening to and fulfilling the wishes of customers and vibration experts from all over the world. The controllers enable reliable vibration control, monitoring, feedback, data analysis, automatic reporting, not only for electrodynamic vibration exciters, but also for hydraulic vibration exciters. Top quality, flexibility, intuitiveness and interactivity are just some of the many appreciated features of the VR controllers.

Basic information

The VR10500 controller is a high-performance choice for advanced vibration testing. The VR10500 controller has been designed to coordinate with high-channel, multi-shaker systems. It is an advanced hardware system for complex applications.

As a vibration controller and dynamic signal analyzer, the VR10500 can be used with our VibrationVIEW and ObserVIEW software packages.

Key applications for the VR10500 include:

  • 16-channel system
  • Up to 512 input channels
  • Multiple shaker systems
  • Up to 6 outputs (4 analog and 2 digital)
  • Controller and analyzer combination
  • Advanced controller configurations

For multiple vibration systems, a single VR10500 controller has the potential for up to 6 control outputs: 4 analog control outputs and 2 digital control outputs. As with the VR9500, users can control two vibration devices in phase, multiple exciters with independent output loops (no phase control), and three-axis systems without cross-coupling or correlation. With the VR10500, the outputs are generated from the same hardware, providing increased performance and control. It also provides the ability to further develop the software and implement additional control methods to control multiple exciters or multiple axes.

The VR10500 digital control output is unique to all controllers. The output has two digital 24-bit channels and can be used to control the shaker. It will be possible to eliminate the analog connection between the exciter and the amplifier to minimize the influence of ambient noise trapped between the controller and the amplifier. No other controller on the market has this capability.

The digital control output will also increase the security of the connection. If the analog connection between the controller and the amplifier is interrupted or damaged during the test, it can cause a significant transient pulse that could damage the exciter. The digital connection is simply interrupted and then shuts down.

This output also breaks the ground path between the controller and noisier amplifiers/vibration systems to eliminate one of the potential ground loops in vibration test systems.
