Accredited calibration of control units according to ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025

The difference between accredited and non-accredited calibration.

Accredited calibration according to ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025 - is performed by an entity that holds a valid accreditation certificate. This certificate is issued by an accreditation body, such as ČIA. Calibration is performed in accordance with calibration procedures approved by the ČIA accreditation body. All methods are validated at regular intervals and interlaboratory comparisons with ČMI are performed. All accredited laboratories (including ours) are subject to control mechanisms that are precisely defined and enshrined in the Quality Manual and assessed annually by the accreditation body. An accredited calibration laboratory must meet all the requirements and conditions of ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17025.

Non-accredited calibration - performed only according to the internal procedures of the calibration laboratory, and the calibration laboratory includes only those checks that it considers necessary. Therefore, a sophisticated control mechanism is not maintained, and individual results may differ from those obtained by an accredited laboratory.
